‘We will be a loud voice’: Leftist leader Reichinnek woos young Germans | Politics News

Berlin, Germany – In the weeks before German electionsFriedrich Mirz, the man who was to become a consultant, destroyed a long -term protection wall through the party that prevented cooperation with the extremist right -wing and anti -migrant party, the AFD, to move to a tougher immigration legislation.

Political pressure was accumulating after two deadly attacks within weeks, according to what was reported by the men who sought to resort to the country.

While the legislation was finally banned, this step prompted a conviction from all over the political spectrum, including former Chancellor Angela Merkel, who, like Mirz, belongs to the Christian Democratic Union (CDU).

In an enthusiastic speech in Bundestag, the German parliament, which is clearly angry, Heidnek, a co -ruler of the left party known as Die Linke, Mirz rose directly to work “intentionally” with “right -wing extremists”.

“All of this happened just two days after the celebration of Auschwitz, two days after celebrating killing and tormenting. You are now cooperating with those who continue in the same ideology.”

The viral speech, with more than seven million views on Tiktok, went, pushing Reichinnek to the top of the national news schedules. The coverage focused on the repercussions, but also the presence of social media and its style of socialism, feminism and anti-fascist decorated with tattoos-including the German Marxist Rosa Luxembourg.

With the approaching elections, Reichinnek doubled on its gradual payment, as it met with a prominent prominent influence, and was regularly published to hundreds of thousands of social media followers, Mirz more criticized, talking about housing costs and AFD.

A strategy that pays off.

In the February 23 elections, Linke was surveyed in 9 percent, more than twice the share of voters from the last elections in 2021, when a quarter of the reported youth. It was the highest number of any party between this demographic.

Speaking to Al -Jazeera after the result, Richenkinck, whom the leadership shares with Surin Bellman, said it was an incredible achievement not only for DIE Link, but for everyone who stood for “social justice, solidarity and democracy.”

“The fact that many people have joined the party, and that hundreds of thousands took the streets to defend human rights, and that we were able to reach many new voters indicating the existence of real momentum of progressive policy in Germany.

“But this is just the beginning. The elections are important, but it is not the ultimate goal – it is a step in a much larger battle. The cost of the living crisis has not ended, social inequality is still growing, and the extreme right is still a threat. This is why we will continue to be a loud voice that is unabated in parliament and in the streets.”

Commentators are credited with the 36 -year -old role in which to cross a fundamental role in Die Link’s election return in the wake of internal conflicts. In 2023, one of her prominent leaders resigned, Sahra Wagenknecht, and in 2024, low -polling figures in the European and regional elections had written a lot of the party.

“It was amazing to see this height from Link, who seemed to be governed by death last year,” said Stefan Marshall, a political scientist at Heinrich Hein University in Dusseldorf. “What happened, especially during the last tendency of the campaign, is that Die Link was able to mobilize many young people. Reichinnek was important, and its communication strategy was very clear and dealt with some issues, such as high housing costs and the renovation of the extreme right, which many young people feel.”

“So far, AFD has not been challenged on social media,” said Mohib Shafakar, a member who dies in Berlin. The area where Fredchichin-Cruisberg is active, raised the Green Party seat, which is a high-level left-level result. “While in Germany and globally, there is a frightening trend for young people who vote for the right of the oath, in these elections, we saw the reflection of the direction.”

Eastern German roots

She was born in the state of East Saxony in 1988, a year before the Berlin Wall fell, Reichnik was interested in politics and a fair society from adolescence.

She said in an interview in 2022: “At the top of the list of things that foiled me are the fourth Hartz laws (unemployment reforms), which I want to cancel,” she said in an interview in 2022. “Equality for women is less important to me, such as caring for children and youth effectively, the best and the basic benefits of children that support poor families.”

Between 2007 and 2011, studies of Middle East and Political Science were studied at Martin Luther University in Haley Whiteburg. During this period, she spent time in Cairo with the outbreak of the Arab Spring.

She said about the Egyptian demonstrators: “I am astonished by what people could achieve when they stand together.”

She participated in more academic endeavors, including as a researcher in a project looking to transform into Arab societies, and periods working in the social sector, including German refugee education, before joining Die Link in 2015. She became a member of the left faction in Osnabruck in North West Germany after a year. I have taken roles like the official spokesman for a socialist and feminist initiative and combating fascism and environmental.

It rose through the rows of the party. At the State Party conference in the lower Saxony in 2019, it received support for more than 86 percent of the delegates, making it the youngest head of state in the party. Two years later, it was elected in Bundestag in the Lower Saxony State list, and worked on issues such as pensions, youth, women’s policy and the family since then.

The political scientist, Marshall, said: “The Eastern German background is still an exception in the political field in Germany.” “Its background in a family of the Eastern German working class is highlighted that it has not entered politics from the position of concession, which makes its participation in social policy issues more honest.”

She also faced the timing of her rise and Link also faced the inner conflict. A bad result in the 2021 federal elections, followed by disputes over its position on migration and the full conquest of Russia in Ukraine, contributed to the departure of Wagenknecht and a group of colleagues, who formed a new party, the Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) alliance last year.

Oezguer Oezvatan is the president and co -founder of the Transformakers, and the author of the Jed Stimme Zaehlt He said during this difficult time the party, the opportunities appeared.

“WagenKnecht was against immigration and after leaving, there was an opportunity for progressive and supportive voices within the party to become the biggest and move the party towards the most liberal immigration policies.”

Ozfatan said the other factor is the Israeli -Palestinian conflict, which led to more departure.

“There was another window of opportunities for human rights activists to make it more supportive of the effectiveness and Israel

Reichinnek was active in social issues and engaging with voters on the Internet and not connected.

“It is an authentic voice of social policy because of her work so far in this field. In addition, she was already considered a star on social media before the election period, and this undermines the situation that politicians face only on Tijook because it is an electoral campaign.”

“She is approaching people, and it seems very honest and very frank in the way she is talking, which we saw in the letter to Mirz,” Marsle added. “This is very attractive for people who are accustomed to older, more controlled and unlimited political figures.”

It is an echo style with voters who die like Lina Muller*, a 34 -year -old advisor at a loader counseling center, who asked the island to use a pseudonym because of the sensitive nature of its work.

“Reichinnek symbolizes a young generation from the party while at the same time continues to fight the battles of the elderly about social justice and combating miscarriages. It does not use strategies to get more votes from AFD the way Wagenknecht does. While both seem like populists, Reichinnek encounter them that it is very convincing.”

Marshall said that with the stability of post -election dust and Germany with an economy facing stagnation and an extremist right -wing operation, the Richink party has “a lot of energy at the present time, which is one of the batteries.”

According to the Shavakar party member in Berlin, the party line has a sense of clarity.

“Reichinnek is concerned about issues, not personal vanity and strength for power. I hope it remains this way.”
