Rescue workers Israel killed found in mass grave in Gaza: What to know | Israel-Palestine conflict

Nine paramedics from the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRCS) went in ambulances, as well as some civil defense workers, to help people in Rafah, Gaza, and disappeared on March 23 after being attacked by the Israeli forces.
This was a week of Israeli obstacles, until international teams finally managed to enter the area where the paramedics and rescue workers disappeared.
They found great evidence of direct attacks on human workers. One doctor remains missing.
Here is everything we know about how Israel killed these first respondents in Gaza:
What happened to the Red Crescent drums in Gaza?
The Israeli forces killed them.
One ambulance was sent to Al -Hashashin, Rafah, to help people who were attacking Israeli attacks on Sunday 23 March. Israeli soldiers shot it and wounded the crew.

“In the early hours of Sunday, March 23, our Palestinian Red Crescent colleagues were entering the Al -Hashin region, a shelf to save lives and was fire.”
Then PRCS sent three other ambulances to help the injured who were trying to reach, and save their colleagues who were attacked.
All teams were sent to support the first ambulance I did this during daylight hoursThe civil defense confirmed.
Della Longa said that PRCS “lost contact with their colleagues,” and started trying to find it.

Who are the paramedics who killed Israel?
There were three ambulance officers – who transport the wounded and sometimes provide emergency healthcare: Ezezedine Shaath, Mostafa Khafaga and Saleh Muamer.
There were also five volunteers of respondents: Ashraf Abu Laba, Muhammad Bahlul, Muhammad Al -Aila, Rash Al -Sharif and Radwat Radwan.
Ambulance officer Assad Lion is still missing. “We don’t know where he is,” said Della Longa.
He added: “The colleagues who were killed and found left behind more than 20 children.”
Israel has killed 30 volunteers and employees of the Palestinian Red Crescent – human workers protected under international humanitarian law – since October 7.
Who is the last killing of Israel in this incident?
The bodies of 14 people were found killed in a shallow mass grave, according to the PRCS.
Eight parasites were identified from PRCS and five civil defense workers, one of whom was an employee of the United Nations Agency.

How did they kill?
The United Nations said it was killed “one by one”, then they were buried in the sand with their emergency vehicles.
“The available information indicates that the first team was killed by the Israeli forces on March 23, and that the emergency and other aid crews have been exposed to one for several hours while searching for their missing colleagues.”
“Their bodies have gathered and buried in this mass grave,” said Jonathan Whital.
“We are publishing them in their official uniforms, with their gloves. They were here to save lives,” he said.
“This ambulance was buried in the sand. There is a United Nations vehicle here, …[an] Israeli forces have been buried by the Israeli forces. “
What did Israel say?
Israeli army spokesman, Nadaf Shoshani, said that the paramedics were not intentionally killed.
Referring to the Israeli soldiers shooting the ambulances and the United Nations units are clear, Shoshani wrote on X, previously on Twitter, that “many universal vehicles have been suspiciously recognized towards the Israeli Defense Army forces without front lamps or emergency signals,” and not clarifying what is meant by “the insecure car.”
Shoshani also claimed without evidence that the “terrorists” were hidden among the rescue workers and that “that”[Israeli] The military military forces, Hamas, canceled Muhammad Amin Ibrahim Shobaki, who participated in the October 7 massacre, along with eight other terrorists from Hamas and Islamic Jihad. “
None of the names reported from a collective grave that match the name of Shoshani was reported.
Suoshani did not explain the fact that one corpse was recovered with his hands binding, according to the red soil in Gaza, and that the Israeli bulldozers tried to bury the vehicles after the truth.
Israeli claims to operate attacks of medical facilities in Gaza are often “mysterious” and sometimes “contradicting the information available to the public.” United Nations Human Rights Commander, Volker TurkiHe told the United Nations Security Council in January.
The Israeli Defense Army attacked an ambulance randomly on March 23. Let me walk in what happened step by step:

How were their bodies found?
Della Longa said that for a whole week, IFRC, PRCS, ICRC and the United Nations have made appeals to the Israeli authorities to enter the area for investigation.
Israel prevented requests until the mission was finally able to enter and search for missing rescue workers.
A video of the scene showed researchers who dig many objects that wear orange emergency jackets, some of which are stacked on top of each other.
One body was pulled in a civil defense jacket from the grave only for researchers to realize that it was a trunk without legs.
What did the ICRC say?
“The dedicated ambulances were responding to the wounded … they were wearing slogans that had to protect them; ambulances were clearly placed. They should have returned to their families; they were not.
Even in the most complex conflict areas, there are rules [that] It cannot be more clear – civilians must be protected; Humanitarian doctors must be protected. Health services must be protected.
Our network of mourning, but this is not enough … I ask a question: “When will this stop? “All parties must stop killing, and all humanity must be protected.”
Della Longa indicated that half of the ambulances in Gaza are no longer functional, either due to damage or fuel deficiency.
What do others say?
Tom Fletcher, head of the United Nations aid, said in a publication on X that the first respondents “were killed by Israeli forces while trying to save lives. We ask for answers and justice.”
US State Department spokesman, Tami Bruce, told the correspondents that the United States expected “all parties” to comply with international humanitarian law, without clarifying any account of the killings, Israel or the United Nations, which was referring to it.
“Despite its reserved place under the Geneva Conventions and International Humanitarian Law, the Israeli forces are still targeting health care workers … ambulances and hospitals are destroying,” said Mohamed Dawar from Amnesty International, a spokesman for the occupied Palestinian territories.
“There is no respect for a person,” Della Longa told Al -Jazeera. Violence “is not new in Gaza, but the measure and intensity of what we see is horrific, horrific and unacceptable.”
“There is a deterioration of respect for international rules,” he said. “This should not and should not happen.”
