It is not Trump that betrayed Ukraine | Russia-Ukraine war

US President Donald Trump did not stop the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of his inauguration, as he promised during the election campaign last year. But three weeks after his presidency, things in this direction shifted quickly.

On February 12, Trump called Russian President Vladimir Putin then Spread on the social truth They agreed to work together to stop “millions of deaths that occur” in the Ukraine war, Russia. This was followed by the announcement of a possible summit between the two in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On February 13, Defense Minister Beit Higseth Put up From the American proposal to end the war during a speech at the NATO headquarters in Brussels.

In a sudden departure from the main conversation points in the previous US administration, he said that Ukraine cannot hope to restore sovereignty over its entire lands and that its membership in NATO should be outside the table to obtain conversations.

Through these data, the Trump administration actually canceled the US -Ukraine Charter on the strategic partnership that has made a mutual commitment to regional integrity, the inability of the border and the determination of Ukraine’s integration in European Atlantic institutions (NATO and the European Union) as a priority policy).

Some Western media rushed to declare “Betrayal of Ukraine” in the wake of Trump’s statements and Hegseth. Washington is already giving up Kiev, but this is not a sudden development. It has always been to give up the possible result of the US approach in relations with Ukraine.

And Trump does not bear the blame for preparing it. Kiev was betrayed by those who promised him from NATO and the membership of the European Union until he fights Russia and rejects any compromise in a war that he cannot win.

In the past three years, the West has reached the highest limit of what it could do in terms of providing weapons and imposing economic sanctions without the creativity of World War III or badly destroying the global economy. Continuing this expensive support would not have changed the fact that Russia is greater and richer than Ukraine and is able to maintain. Above all, Russia will always have the last word in any regional war as a major nuclear force – a factor that restricts Western participation in the conflict.

Soon or later, the US administration was lowering in support of Ukraine because it was not sustainable. It happened that the decision was taken by the Republican administration. Democrats are lucky because they have not had to do so and now they use them in their local battle against the Republican Party.

Meanwhile, although angry escape in recent days, European partners in Ukraine may start compatible with the United States on Ukrainian membership. On February 14, the Secretary -General of Mark Rato Mark Root said that there was no guarantee that Ukraine would join the coalition as part of a peace agreement with Russia.

This statement contradicts some of its previous pledges. In December 2024, the newly appointed Roti said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Folodimir Zelinski that “a road to Ukraine’s membership is irreversible” and that “it is closer to NATO than ever.”

While NATO membership now appears outside the Ukraine table, the Trump administration does not seem to ignore Ukraine completely. In reference to the Ukrainian demands to ensure Western security, Higseth reported the possibility of deploying European and non -European peacekeepers to monitor and enforce the ceasefire. He ruled out the deployment of American forces and said that the peacekeeping forces from NATO should not be covered by Article 5 of NATO, which allows a joint response against any member of any member of the coalition.

This suggestion hardly reassures the Ukrainians. Zelenskyy has repeatedly said that Western security guarantees have little value without our involvement. At the same time, the Kremlin is likely to see any NATO forces on Ukrainian lands as a Trojan hole, so the idea is unlikely to start when the conversations begin seriously.

NATO European forces should not be a problem in Moscow, but it is possible that other than NATO European countries such as Austria and Serbia are a few thousand forces. Thus, the main units must come from the global south.

However, the issue of the entire peace guard is exaggerated. The only way to ensure stable peace is to create the real convergence of Ukraine and the advanced rapprochement between Russia and the West.

Does this mean winning the Kremlin? Yes, it was the case, but this was the only realistic result since Ukraine was thrown under Gulp Putin by Western Hawks.

Unlike the various Western predictions that the Russian economy will collapse and that the regime will collapse under the pressure of the war, Russia has managed to perform relatively well throughout this conflict. Its economy was prosperous thanks to the luxurious defensive spending – unlike the Ukrainians – the Russian population was effectively protected from the war to become a major factor in their lives.

It is clear that Putin cannot be defeated in the battlefield. It can only be shot down if the Russian people are on board. But the West and Ukraine did everything to alienate even the Russian in support of the combating botan through rhetorical and discriminatory policies of foreigners. The hawk crowd always wants war, not the best Ukraine and Russia.

Ukraine options all left dark. This was evident in the Zelinski speech at the Munich Security Conference, which was supposed to appear the challenge but slapped despair.

He turned to the European Union, suggesting that the Ukrainian army become the essence of a new European military force. This is also unlikely because it brings the European Union to a direct confrontation with Russia. Ukrainian President also tried to only Trump’s interest in Ukraine’s metal wealth to receive an ultimatum from his administration to confiscate imperialism of Ukrainian resources.

But all of this is dedicated to his local fans. Zelenskyy needs to show that he tried every means, even most of them are unbearable, and that the West still betrays it. However, he can then submit to the inevitable.
