IBA To Take Legal Action Against IOC For Allowing Khelif And Lin To Participate In Paris 2024

The International Boxing Association (IBA) is proud to be the only international union committed to protecting the rights of athletes all over the world and supports female sports safety. The executive order of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, proves “keeping men from women’s sport” that IBA stands firm, protects the right of boxers from unfair competition.
In light of eligibility issues between the sexes surrounding the boxers in 2022 and 2023, IBA was proactively conducted all the necessary tests and then banned individuals who are considered unqualified by participating in women’s competitions. Although the International Olympic Committee was notified of the exclusion Imane Khelif And Lin Yu-to, the International Olympic Committee ignored this important information, allowing both athletes to compete in the qualifiers and ultimately in the 2024 Olympics, where they secured gold medals, and deprived opportunities for mathematics due.
As a result, IBA is an official complaint with the Public Prosecutor of Switzerland, Mr. Stephen Plotter, regarding the actions of the International Olympic Committee that facilitated the participation of these unqualified athletes in the 2024 Olympic Boxing Championship in Paris. According to the Swiss law, any action or inaction is a threat to safety for the participants in the competition requires the investigation and may act as reasons for criminal prosecution. In addition, similar complaints must be submitted by public lawyers in France and the United States of America.
“President Trump has ordered the banning of sexually transformed athletes from women’s sport verifies the validity of IBA’s efforts to protect the safety of female sports,” as IBA president Omar Karimbeev claimed. Our actions aim to ensure gender equality in boxing. We urge other international federations to follow the example of IBA, because we are in a unique position to address this issue and call for “the rights” of athletes.
President Karimif also encouraged the boxers who were affected by the decision of the International Olympic Committee to allow Khelif and LIN to compete in the Rehabilitation Championship in Paris 2024 or the Olympic boxing events to follow up on legal procedures against the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach, Sports Director Kate McConnell, and their teams.
IBA will provide a comprehensive legal support for our boxers in these lawsuits, because this is a clear violation of human rights, anger towards boxers, and simply a crime that must be punished accordingly. In my personal opinion, Thomas Bach must bear the full responsibility for this, as he was responsible when that happened, and he must be compensated for the court, if the court or any other example governs this, “as President Karimbeel claimed.
Looking at the future, IBA will ensure strict measures in the World Boxing Championships for the upcoming women in NIš to maintain the integrity of competitions, with a special focus on verifying the gender eligibility. This initiative emphasizes IBA to provide a fair and fair sports environment for all athletes.
