There are also huge doubts about whether the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is accepting any Arab plan for Gaza.

Netanyahu has repeatedly refused to end the war permanently, and excluded concessions to the Palestinians or any moves towards establishing a Palestinian state. He also insisted that Israel will not allow the Gaza -backed Palestinian Authority.

Diplomats fear that Netanyahu and his right-wing extremist allies have encouraged Trump’s comments on Gaza-the American president announced his plan to take over the tape while hosting Netanyahu at the White House.

Arab diplomats say there is an additional urgency because they are afraid that a hostage deal will fade to shoot.
