Black-Palestinian solidarity: We need to talk about what happened | Opinions

More than a month after his second term, President Donald Trump has already fulfilled many of his promises to his horrific campaign. He ordered the collective deportation of immigrants and asylum seekers; Federal diversity programs, stocks, and inclusion (Dei) have been canceled; Cut the financing for the disadvantaged black and Latin societies; He pledged to expel foreigners with legal residency who participated in the protests supporting the Palestinians.
It is clear that if we want to survive in the next four years, minorities and persecuted people from all lines must build solidarity networks to stand together and resist. To do this effectively, we must deal with any distinct problems that may undermine solidarity across society. One cannot say that they are interested in women’s rights, public health, ethnic equality, education, or any number of things that liberals claim to be interested in and then allowing the genocide to continue.
The 2024 elections were held in light of Israel’s genocide campaign against the people of Palestine. Despite the efforts of the Democratic Party to confuse and manipulate the issue, they were unable to get rid of the terrifying images that come out of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
They faced a collective mobilization of people in the streets, in the preliminary elections and on the campus of universities that call for urgent measures to stop Israel. In a desperate attempt to distract them from the forensic criticism they were receiving to facilitate genocide, the Democratic Party took the goal of the CT coalition formed to support Gaza.
In particular, the Democrats sought to dismantle the black Palestinian solidarity. One of the ways they hoped to do so is to framing the demonstrators supporting Palestinians as unitary voters. They claimed that the Palestinian and Arab societies and their allies were invested only in the Palestinian struggle for freedom and did not care about the conflicts of minority groups here in the United States.
The Democrats confirmed that what was happening in Gaza was an external issue related to only that group of voters. The idea was to persuade black people – as well as women, homosexuals and other deprived groups – that their solidarity with Palestine was meaningless and that their interests lies with the Democratic Party, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
When facing the scattering point of the “individual issue” in particular, I usually ask: What is the “individual issue” genocide? One cannot say that they are interested in women’s rights, public health, ethnic equality, education, or any number of things that liberals claim to be interested in and then allowing the genocide to continue.
If someone is fine with the extermination of one group, then why are they not ready to agree to exterminate others when the time comes?
We got a glimpse of the extent to which the Democratic Party and its liberal supporters committed the rights of disadvantaged groups when they rushed to blame people for the defeat of Harris, and some prominent members suggested that the “transient issue”.
The “unilateral voter” conversation point was not the only weapons that were undermined the Palestinian black solidarity. Historical mobilization in universities and universities throughout the country was also attacked. The liberal media has sought to depict the pro -Palestinians activity not only as “anti -Semitic” but also as a project for pets for the bourgeoisie, which is affected only by children who were not affected by Ivy Legue University.
What the media decided to leave from this novel is that mobilization is also take Put in public universities and government schools, to which black and brown students have joined with an overwhelming majority. The fact that the colorful students faced the burden of police violence and criminal prosecution were also deleted from the public conversation.
In parallel, the Democratic Party also made some of the color members become its face to its unacceptable position on Gaza. Biden Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield was directed to vote on the ceasefire solution after the ceasefire and the Mantra was repeated about “Israel’s right to self-defense.” White House press secretary Karen Jean -Pierre had to avoid any and all questions about the Palestinians during the air. Vice President Harris, itself, is charged with “recognition” of humanity and suffering from the Palestinian people, while the Biden administration continued to approve arms sales to Israel.
The Democratic Party used darkening as a shield against any criticism and they did this under the guise of diversity. It is not surprising, the tendency was dropped whenever the black or brown members of the party occur. In such cases, Democrats made everything possible to clarify and marry them. When Congress member Cori Bush faced an unprecedented mass spending campaign by AIPAC to topple the preliminary elections, none of the democratic leadership reached its defense.
However, the talk points succeeded and managed to penetrate the progressive spaces otherwise. A good example of this is an online conversation between the content creator, Toure Jarir and Tactoker Maya Abdullah, which occurred in August.
Tori, as a black woman, has argued to vote for Harris, as she identified her very real fears of Trump’s second presidency, while Maya truly indicated that the democratic candidate refuses to stop facilitating genocide. The repercussions of the hot debate between the two spread online, as some social media users abandon their solidarity. This is exactly the place where the political elite wanted to be.
While the Democratic Party ruled black society, there was absolutely no effort to speak with Arab Americans and other supporters of the Palestinians. Even in black “flirting”, Democrats are still able to waive as possible, which led to the withdrawal of the tired and racist cup of “black men more conservative”.
This is the strategy and the framing of the alleged party of the Apple Post and the minorities that I think is our leadership to the dream of fascist fever that is the presidency of Trump.
Many Arab Americans – as well as members of other minority groups – voted for Trump. As a black man, I did not try to persuade these people to vote in favor of the “less evil” while their families were exterminated in Gaza.
Others felt differently in black society. A small, but a black voice on the Internet insisted that we should challenge the boycott of Israel, “buying Starbucks” and stop supporting the Palestinian cause. While this was mainly the phenomenon of social media, the effects of real life exist. When I speak with community members who may be less knowledgeable about what is happening abroad, the same few conversation points arise: “Isn’t this conflict a thousand years old?” And “Israel is defending itself.”
The truth is that it is not the first time that black society has been divided into Palestine. I remember the clash between the iconic black writer Audrey Lord and his black women’s colleague, June, Jordan. In the early eighties of the last century, Jordan has publicly criticized Israel by invading Lebanon and “its goals of genocide regarding the Palestinian people.” Lord rejected this situation. She understood the ways that the United States detained and used blacks here and abroad, but it was unable to connect it to the Palestinian struggle in the way Jordan did. This fracture has deteriorated in their relationships.
While the differences in opinion still exist today within the black society, in the end, my belief that the contradictions in the defense of the Democratic Party have become increasingly unacceptable. The methods used by Democrats are their platform to manipulate novels – similar to the way Republicans do their base – lead to confusion, not a political participation greater than black.
For those who still embrace the points of talking about the pro -Palestinian movement, it may be good to ask what the Democratic Party did to win their loyalty.
This is the party that decided to respond to the police killing of George Floyd in the summer of 2020, sending his leadership to take pictures of kneeling in the Kenti cloth, but spent $ 17.4 billion on police financing throughout the country two years later. This is also the party whose members and heads of modern modernists have made a lot of effort in the demonization of the Matter Black movement and theft of all popular momentum from it.
Recently, the Democratic Party went out to proceed with very unpopular foot. ”Cop City project “in Atlanta. The city, which is run by the wealthy black democrats, has taken Drakon measures to ensure the crushing of all resistance – including from the black community members – to this police training project.
Let’s also remember that although Trump is every part of the monster Democrats claiming to be, they themselves look well with him. This is because for years, the democratic elite relied on a group of rolled bad guys to prevent them from fulfilling any of their most progressive promises to their base. With this strategy in mind, in 2015-2016, they pushed Trump in the Republican introductory elections, believing that it would be the easiest candidate to overcome.
In this context, the hint that the Democratic Party – or the Republican Party, in this regard – has the interest of the black population in this country in mind is not only an insult, but it is dangerous. For both parties, black and Palestinian life includes little anxiety; They are only important when or if it is a suitable political and financial.
Many black Americans see the parallel between the historical methods of our people and what is happening in Palestine. The brutal apartheid and the genocide of the Palestinian people are directly related to mass killing and the subjugation of blacks here in the United States. There is a reason for many of the things that we say in our society that resonates with the people of Palestine and vice versa. Just our existence is a threat to the current situation.
I see this awareness spreads between my colleagues, and we all saw in Super Bowl, when Zul-Qarnain NantambuA black artist, raising a Sudanese and Palestinian flag on stage during the first half show.
The past sixteen months of the genocide in Gaza have led to the close facade between the American and Israeli military industrial complex, between the American army and the Israeli occupation forces, between the American police and the Israeli security establishment.
With Trump and a face of white nationalist extremists who have already launched the police and other security agencies at weak societies, we-we-black and brown people, homosexuals, and supporters of the Palestinians-face the same threat, the same source of aggression.
Our people lie in the United Resistance. To assemble the fixed system, we have to stand together.
