US drives Ukraine war measure through UN with Russian backing

An American decision calling for a “quick end” war in Ukraine approved the UN Security Council with the support of Moscow and Beijing in the vote, which was the latest blow to Western unity during Donald Trump’s presidency.

France and the United Kingdom were not caught against this measure, which did not mention any Russia’s aggression or the regional safety of Ukraine, but they refrained from failing in a recent attempt to delay the final vote.
