Israel threatens a second Nakba, yet denies the first ever happened | Israel-Palestine conflict News

Gaza, Palestine Last month, the Sufi Abu Ghassan joined hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who were wandering in their beating neighborhoods after stopping the shooting of Israel for 15 months in Gaza.

The 70 -year -old felt comfortable because Israel’s mass killing of the Palestinians had stopped, at the present time.

However, he knew that the mass destruction caused by the Israel war would make life difficult. His taxi work has been destroyed, his house was destroyed, and there are hardly any provisions in Gaza, and even drinking water.

At least, he and his family survived the bombing of the Israeli carpet and the tactics of the siege and hunger and returned to northern Gaza, the only house they knew at all.

On the night of February 17, Abu Ghassan heard a broadcast of Israeli drones, which are designed threats to operate the greatest trauma of generations in Palestinian history.

Israel was threatening the exhausting Palestinians, “Nakba II and the third.”

Nakba is Ethnic cleansing is at least 750,000 Palestinians From their homes and villages by the Zionist militias to make way for Israel’s establishment in 1948.

Finish Nabka?

After seventy -seven years of the Nakba, which Israel has never recognized, the country again threatens to expel millions of Palestinians from the remainder of their homeland.

Most people in Gaza – 70 percent of about 2.3 million – from the descendants of those who were forced to flee the militia violence during the first Nakba, and their villages and towns by Israel today.

The vast majority yearn for a return to their homelands – just like the Palestinians who made refugees similarly, but they fled to the occupied West Bank or neighboring countries because of Nakba.

It is not much designed, like Abu Ghassan, not to uproot them from the rest of Palestine.

“Israel wants to expel all of us … but this is impossible. None of us will leave … Death here will be better.”

Abu Ghassan has already been uprooted five times since the Israeli war on Gaza began, after an attack led by Hamas on southern Israel on October 7, 2023.

The attack witnessed that the Palestinian fighters have been exploding from the pocket, and described them for a long time as a “outdoor prison” because of Israel, the land, air, and exclusive sea, which has caused a long humanitarian crisis since 2007.

About 1,139 people died and 250 of the prisoner took the Hamas -led attack.

Israel quickly launched what UN experts and rights groups describe as a possible genocide against the Palestinians, followed almost all the population, deliberately starved and reduced most of the pocket to the rubble.

The Israeli war on Gaza killed at least 62,614 Palestinians, most of them women and children.

Now, many Israeli politicians – and people – are behind a “plan” proposed by US President Donald Trump to transport the Palestinians in Gaza to Egypt and Jordan strongly to “wipe” developers.

Nakba and denial apologies

The Israelis often deny Nakba and the claimants that the Palestinians were “wrongly” or “unintentionally” to uproot them as part of a war of the independence of Israel, according to Uri Goldberg, the Israeli commentator in political affairs.

“There is absolutely no recognition of the Nazba regarding the preservation of memory or Palestinian history. At best, people will say that this was a war … we won it and lost it, so it absorbs it.”

However, most reliable historical accounts of Nazba indicate a deliberate policy to expel Palestinians from their lands.

The famous Israeli historian Ilan Babi wrote in his book, the ethnic cleansing of Palestine, that the besieged Zionist militias deliberately besieged, blew up houses and looted before they donated the Palestinians in 1948.

In some areas, Babi pointed out, Even the Israelis planted thousands of trees To cover up evidence of the mass destruction that accompanied the campaign of ethnic cleansing.

Diana Bhutto, a Palestinian analyst and former consultant to the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), confirmed that many Israelis have never had to face their past due to the state’s efforts to hide the evidence and the memory of the Nakba.

“Many Israelis do not know that many of the houses in which they live are used to belonging to the Palestinians,” she told Al -Jazeera Island.

“In Israel, there is a complete thing how I pretend that 1948 [Nakba] It didn’t happen.

The second Nakba?

Although Nakba publicly does not publicly recognize, many Israelis are now invoking “a second second” by supporting the Gaza Trump plan.

February reconnaissance By the Jewish People’s Policy Institute, an Israeli research tank found that about 80 percent of the Jewish Israelis support the “Trump” plan and that 52 percent believe it is “practical.”

“This has always been part of the Israeli imagination,” said Goldberg.

“When he was a teenager, in political discussions … a question was often asked similar:” Will you press a red button if he could make all Palestinians go away? “The answer [among most] It was always: “Yes”

Trump’s “plan” will win ethnic cleansing and Israel will likely force many crimes under international law. Legal experts have told Al -Jazeera before.

Israeli officials were already thinking about the same way after a period of October 7 anyway.

Less than a week later, on October 13, 2023, a hurtful memorandum from the Israeli Intelligence Ministry proposed Israel to uproot the Palestinians in Gaza and resettle them in Sinai, Egypt.

He added that Israel should seek the help of the global community to achieve this task.

Throughout the Israeli war on Gaza, Israeli officials referred to Nakba to the Palestinians.

“We are now offering Gaza Nakba,” said Israeli Minister of Agriculture Avi Dashr in November 2023, and he is defending the uprooting of more than 1.5 million people from northern Gaza.

In May 2024, Mondoweiss, an independent media outlet calling for Palestinian rights, participated in a picture of Gaza from the Israeli soldiers smiling and demonstrating after spraying “Nakba 2023” in a building.

Israel seems to be now benefiting from Trump’s comments, as the publications on Gaza were dropped, claiming that Trump’s “plan” is mandatory and the Palestinians must seek help to leave.

“Neither America nor Europe is interested in Gaza at all. The Arab countries do not even care. They are now our allies and provide us with weapons, oil and money and send you over the blankets.”

No fear

The Palestinians in Gaza told the island that they are not afraid and are not afraid of Israel’s threats. Many believe that they have already survived the worst in Israel’s violence.

Muhammad Abu Ibrahim, 55, said that the threats of Israel “another Nakba” is a psychological war.

“Frankly, I was not shocking or surprised [by these threats]He said. “There is nothing that Israel can do will surprise us anymore.”

Bhutto added that Israel’s attempt to move forward in Trump’s “plan” indicates that it has failed to achieve the goals of the war since October 7.

She said that despite the genocide of Israel and the devastating damage to Gaza, it failed to destroy Hamas and keep the forces on the ground through the pocket.

BUTTU argues that Israel’s failure to achieve its targets of war is the reason that it is increasingly calling for the expulsion of the Palestinians.

“This idea that ethnic cleansing is great, it’s okay … it really shows you the location of our existence in this global system,” Pato said, referring to what the global indifference of Israel and Trump’s plan.

“Everything is very terrifying.”
